Job summary

Ascension in Nashville is seeking a PRN Float Nurse to support multiple clinics across Davidson and Williamson counties. You will perform holistic patient assessments, deliver treatments, and monitor for adverse reactions to ensure safe, effective care. This role requires flexibility to cover days during the PRN schedule.

The position emphasizes patient education and coordination with the clinical team to promote optimal recovery and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Licensed Practical Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State recognition prior to hire.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

• 1+ years of experience

Additional Preferences

• Must be willing to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

• Must work min 8 shifts/month as needed.
