Job summary

Premise Health Inc. seeks a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care for client employees and dependents at our Shelby, NC Health Center.

Schedule includes Monday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and Tue–Fri 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. Responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, specimen collection as ordered, charting, and ensuring infection control and safe environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NNL accreditation or equivalent program.
• Currently licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in NC.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent) required.
• At least three years of clinical LPN/LVN experience in ambulatory/occupational health/ED setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under supervision of healthcare providers.
• Performs and documents medical tasks including med administration, wound care, specimens per orders.
• Maintains medical equipment and safe infection control practices.
• Maintains accurate patient health records and documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Shelby, NC.

Monday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; Tuesday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break each day.

What You’ll Do

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
