Job summary

Volkert Inc. in Florida is seeking an experienced Survey Lead to support the Southeast Region. The role leads the land surveying team, manages client relations, and ensures quality deliverables on time and within budget.

You will oversee budgets, coordinate subcontractors, and develop proposals while upholding safety standards and company QA/QC procedures. Florida licensure and relevant FDOT experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor registered in Florida.
• 8-10 years of FDOT survey experience.
• Desire and ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Complex problem-solving skills and strong organization.
• Safety oriented; pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Build a team and manage client relations.
• Bring in work and manage team and project budgets.
• Lead the survey team to meet schedules and production expectations.
• Coordinate and manage outside survey subcontractors.
• Implement QA/QC practices for final deliverables.
• Develop fees and write/review proposals.
• Ensure compliance with company safety regulations.
