Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey Lead to support our Southeast Region in Florida. The role oversees survey staff, drives project budgets, and coordinates subcontractors to deliver high‑quality survey deliverables.

Ideal candidates are Licensed Professional Land Surveyors with FDOT experience and a track record of leadership, safety, and regulatory compliance, with interest in expanding licensure to additional states.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (Florida) required.
• 8–10 years of FDOT survey experience.
• Desire to obtain licensure in additional states.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Complex problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and safety orientation.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and have a valid MVR.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a survey team and manage client relations.
• Bring in work and manage team and project budgets.
• Lead the survey team to meet schedules and production expectations.
• Coordinate and manage outside survey subcontractors.
• Implement QA/QC for final deliverables.
• Develop fees and write/review proposals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
