Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey Lead in Florida to supervise survey staff and deliver high‑quality land surveys. You will oversee deliverables, budgets, and schedules while growing the Southeast Region client base.

Candidate must be a Florida‑registered Professional Land Surveyor with 8–10 years of FDOT survey experience and the ability to obtain licensure in other states. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (Florida) required.
• 8–10 years FDOT Survey experience required.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Good judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical ability.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead survey team while maintaining client relations.
• Bring in work and manage team and project budgets.
• Lead the survey team to meet schedules and client requests.
• Coordinate and manage outside survey subcontractors.
• Implement QA/QC practices for final deliverables.
• Develop fees and write/review proposals.
• Ensure compliance with company safety regulations.
