Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in Illinois. You will implement the plan of care under a PT, educate patients and families, and document care in the EMR.

Responsibilities include assisting with therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy as needed, and coordinating with the PT on patient progress. BLS certification required; board eligibility pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care; adjusts treatment based on patient response with communication.
• Produces documentation in accordance with policy and daily notes.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements where applicable.
• Provides treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy when appropriate.
