Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement plans of care and provide clinical support across patient ages. The role serves as a resource for staff and students and requires collaboration with the treating therapist.

The PTA must hold an Illinois license and BLS certification within 30 days of hire, with an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. Daily documentation and participation in program requirements are expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and communicates with the evaluating therapist before adjustments.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Implements treatment interventions including exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy and daily EMR documentation.
