Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support the physical therapy team across patient ages. You will follow the plan of care, educate patients and families, document daily notes, and perform therapeutic interventions including gait training, aquatic therapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the PT, adjusting treatments based on patient response, and maintaining compliance with the Clinical Documentation

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Board eligibility and successful completion of board exam.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment after communication with evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy (CTSCP67).
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Administers electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy; performs gait and balance training and therapeutic exercise.
• Maintains daily documentation and coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions.
