Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patient care in Illinois. You will educate patients and families, follow the therapist's plan of care, and document in the therapy EMR.

The role requires an Associate's Degree and PTA licensure; BLS within 30 days is required. You will perform therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy, coordinating with the PT and referring providers.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license (IDFPR) required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date (AHA).
• Board eligible and must complete board exam when available; continue CE for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follow therapist's plan of care; adjust treatment based on patient response and evidence after communicating with evaluating therapist.
• Document care per Clinical Documentation Policy CTSCP67.
• Complete annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program (if applicable).
• Coordinate with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicate progress to referring provider.
