Qualifications

• Active PE license required or able to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• At least 6 years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibilities.
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan to develop business in this market.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and declining unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services; scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review field and laboratory data, resolve failing tests, and seal reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors, coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in the market.
