Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking seller-doer engineers: licensed Professional Engineers who can pitch testing programs with clients and seal reports. Qualifications

Active PE license in the posting state or by comity within 90 days.
6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
Record of bringing in work, or a credible plan to do so in this market.
Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and saying no to a bad contract.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record on projects you win: review data, seal reports and letters.
Direct technicians and inspectors on projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
