Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers who are comfortable in a contractor's office pitching a testing program as they review reports and seal letters. You carry a business development target and a technical workload, you keep the clients you win, and your compensation follows the revenue you bring in.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the state of posting, or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan to win business in the market.
• Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and saying no to unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects won: review field/lab data, seal reports/letters, coordinate with lab.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
