Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking skilled Opticians to join our in-house optical team in Boston. You will take measurements, fit eyewear, and ensure these glasses meet our optical standards while delivering exceptional service.

You must be a licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified. We value clear communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach to helping customers find frames that fit their prescription and style.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state license to dispense eyewear (or ABO certification in non-licensing states).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to explain complex terms clearly.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, fit eyewear, and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with team to deliver exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, face fit, and lifestyle.
• Contribute to best-practice approaches for sales and service.
