Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a Licensed Optician to join our Market and Main team in the retail optical space. You’ll help customers see better by taking measurements, fitting eyewear, and ensuring the final product meets our high standards.

As a licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states), you’ll explain prescriptions clearly, provide exceptional service, and collaborate with a dynamic team to drive eyewear excellence and brand values across our stores.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in licensed states, or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who can break down technical terms for customers.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Check that eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with your team to ensure exceptional service.
• Assist customers in choosing frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Help develop best practices for sales and customer service across the organization.
• Represent the Warby Parker brand and educate others about our values.
