Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician in New Jersey to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style, ensuring proper frame fit and accurate lens dispensing.

As part of the role, you will enter prescriptions into the EHR/ALE system, communicate with patients about order status, and support insurance discussions while delivering outstanding service and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice as an optician.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• HIPAA knowledge is preferred.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows, word processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Interpret prescriptions from optometrists/ophthalmologists.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE system accurately.
• Ensure proper fit, adjust eyewear, and check visual acuity.
• Explain insurance coverage, benefits, and warranties to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice area.
