Job summary

AEG Vision in Hilliard, Ohio is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will discuss products, interpret prescriptions, assist with frame and lens choices, and educate patients on care, warranties, and services.

As part of the team, you will enter prescriptions into the EHR/ALE, coordinate with technicians, and help patients understand insurance benefits while maintaining a welcoming, organized practice environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• One-year optician experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Explain products, prescriptions, and services to patients.
• Assist with frame/lens selection and lens treatments.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE system accurately.
• Coordinate with technicians and doctors to ensure orders meet timelines.
• Maintain insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage information.
• Keep work area clean and merchandise displays organized.
