Job summary

AEG in Findlay, OH is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide eyewear solutions and patient care. You will help patients select frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and dispense with accuracy and a focus on quality.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, stay up-to-date with products and lens options, and deliver exceptional service while maintaining HIPAA and insurance guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required to practice.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Experience in optical dispensing and patient service.
• Basic HIPAA familiarity and privacy understanding.
• Proficient PC skills and comfort with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Take and verify measurements, ensure proper frame fit, and dispense lenses.
• Enter prescription details into the EHR/ALE system and document patient information.
• Explain insurance benefits, copays, and warranty options to patients.
• Maintain product knowledge on frames, lenses, coatings, and rebates.
