Job summary

AEG Vision in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style, while ensuring proper fit and accurate dispensing.

You will interpret prescriptions, update the EHR/ALE, educate patients on insurance and care, and maintain strong patient relationships to drive satisfaction and repeat visits.

Qualifications

• State licensure required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Experience in optical dispensing.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Manual dexterity for lens fitting and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Ensure proper frame fit and accurate lens dispensing.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into EHR/ALE systems.
• Educate patients on lens care, warranties, and insurance details.
• Manage order status and communicate with patients.
• Coordinate with technicians and doctors to fulfill orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice.
