Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Taunton, MA. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings while ensuring precise measurements and proper lens dispensing.

Qualifications

• State licensure required.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Good computer skills (MS Office, Windows)
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with sales is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an extraordinary patient experience with eyewear recommendations.
• Greet patients, identify visual needs and suggest frames, lenses and coatings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, and lens options.
• Enter prescriptions into EHR/ALE systems and document patient charts.
• Ensure proper fit, measurements and dispensing of eyewear.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and insurance basics.
• Assist with insurance eligibility, benefits, copays, and coverage details.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to track orders and status.
• Perform routine adjustments and repairs as needed.
