Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an optician in Chandler, AZ to deliver exceptional customer service, fill eyeglass prescriptions, and fit lenses and frames with precision. You will evaluate prescriptions against customer needs and advise on lenses, coatings, and frames while building professional relationships with associates and doctors.

Responsibilities include measuring bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and centers using standard tools; ensuring accurate pricing

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification by a nationally recognized optician association is required.
• Ability to sell through strong sales skills and be accountable for sales results.
• Experience in a retail or customer service setting is required.
• Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet customer expectations and foster positive relationships.
• Proven store merchandising skills and attention to detail.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with personal computers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote associate/doctor satisfaction.
• Drive store sales by fostering a customer care culture and using the Total Customer Experience model.
• Develop professional relationships with Associates, Host, and Doctor.
• Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit lenses/frames to customer needs.
• Take measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, vertex distance, PD, etc.) using standard tools.
• Ensure accurate pricing and realistic delivery quotes; maximize vision-care plan opportunities.
• Support marketing programs and Host relations; contribute to patient satisfaction surveys.
