Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a skilled optician to join our team of in-house optical specialists. In this role you will help customers by taking measurements, fitting eyewear, and ensuring products meet both prescriptions and quality standards.

You will explain prescription terminology, advise on frame and lens choices, and collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional service. A valid dispensing license or ABO certification is required, and a passion for eyewear is essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who can explain technical terms to customers.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with team to deliver exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Contribute to best practices for sales and customer service across the organization.
• Represent the Warby Parker brand and educate customers about our values and mission.
