Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Optician to assist customers with frame and lens selection, interpret prescriptions, and provide accurate product information. The role requires maintaining HIPAA compliance and a clean, organized dispensing area while delivering excellent customer service.

You will ensure insurance coverage details are explained, collaborate with lab and optometrist for prescription accuracy, and train apprentices where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must hold applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Experience explaining optical products and prescriptions.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection and dispense accordingly.
• Interpret prescriptions and provide accurate product information.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain a clean dispensing area.
• Explain insurance benefits and any charges not covered by insurance.
• Communicate with Lab and Optometrist to ensure prescription accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames, lenses, and accessories with precise measurements.
