AEG in Mansfield, MA is seeking a Licensed Optician to join our team and deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle, and style, ensuring proper fit and accurate measurements.

This full-time role requires completion of state licensure, strong customer service, and familiarity with insurance basics.

Qualifications

• State licensure required to practice as an optician.
• High School diploma or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred.
• Experience with optical dispensing and insurance basics is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and educate patients on eyewear care and warranty options.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and ALE systems and track order status.
• Communicate with technicians and managers to resolve order issues and provide updates to patients.
