Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will assist patients in frame selection, ensure correct lens dispensing, and maintain accurate records in the EHR/ALE systems.

Responsibilities include advising on lenses, coatings, and accessories, handling inquiries about insurance, and keeping up-to-date with product knowledge while delivering a high standard of service in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• State licensure required for practice.
• High school diploma or GED.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Experience dispensing optical products.
• HIPAA compliance experience preferred.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office).
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity for handling eyewear equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
• Verify proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care, warranties, and insurance benefits.
• Enter prescription details into EHR and ALE systems accurately.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order statuses.
• Inspect finished eyewear and perform adjustments for comfort and fit.
• Maintain clean, organized work and display areas.
• Respond to patient questions about products, pricing, and promotions.
