Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician who will provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, ensure proper fit and lens dispensing, and maintain accurate records in the EHR/ALE systems.

A strong focus on customer service and insurance guidance will support patient satisfaction and loyalty. You will work with a team to deliver high-quality eyewear experiences, stay current on products and procedures, and help grow the practice while

Qualifications

State licensure to practice as an optician.
High school diploma or GED required.
ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
Optical dispensing experience preferred.
HIPAA knowledge preferred.
Proficiency with Windows, MS Office and word processing.

Responsibilities

Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescriptions and lifestyle.
Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
Provide expert eyewear solutions with outstanding customer service.
Enter prescription information into EHR/ALE systems and maintain patient records.
Communicate with technicians and managers regarding order status and issues.
Educate patients on lens treatments, care, and insurance coverage where applicable.
Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and patient satisfaction.
Perform adjustments and minor repairs to eyewear as needed.
