Job summary

Eyes on You Optometry seeks a licensed optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will assist patients with frame and lens choices, ensure proper fit, and maintain accurate documentation in the EHR. A strong focus on service, accuracy, and product knowledge is essential.

You will communicate clearly with patients and team, handle order updates, and advise on lens treatments and coatings. Prior experience in optical dispensing and HIPAA awareness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have state licensure where applicable.
• High School diploma or GED.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Proficient PC skills: MS Office, Windows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales aptitude.
• Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient experience with eyewear solutions.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, lenses, and frames.
• Enter prescriptions accurately into EHR and verify documentation.
• Communicate order status and resolve issues with patients and team.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and lens options.
• Inspect final products for quality and fit; perform adjustments as needed.
