Job summary

AEG Vision in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit prescriptions and lifestyle, ensuring proper fit, measurements, and accurate dispensing.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients and staff, interpreting prescriptions, entering data into the EHR, and enforcing privacy and warranty details while delivering a superior patient experience.

Qualifications

• State licensure required to practice as an optician
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required
• Experience in optical dispensing and HIPAA familiarity
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription and lifestyle
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing accuracy
• Provide exceptional patient care and educate on eyewear care
• Explain insurance coverage, copays, and warranties
• Enter prescription information into EHR/ALE and maintain records
• Respond to order status inquiries and escalate issues as needed
• Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice area
