Job summary

Carolina Forest Family Eyecare in Myrtle Beach seeks a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, measure and dispense accurately, and ensure dispensing quality.

Responsibilities include entering prescriptions into the EHR/ALE, understanding insurance benefits, and delivering a seamless patient experience from order to finish.

Qualifications

• State licensure required to practice as an optician.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE system.
• Explain insurance benefits, copays, deductibles, and coverage limitations.
• Dispense glasses and ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain patient satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice.
