Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Licensed Optician in Orlando to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist with frame and lens selection, ensure proper fit and measurements, and guide patients through insurance and warranty details.

A strong customer service orientation and precise lens dispensing are essential for success. The role emphasizes accurate data entry into the EHR/ALE systems, teamwork with technicians, and maintaining a clean, efficient practice

Qualifications

• State Licensure required.
• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories.
• Take and verify measurements; ensure proper frame fit and lens dispensing.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR and ALE system accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice environment.
• Follow up on orders and communicate status to patients.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
