Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients with frame and lens selections, ensure proper fit and accurate dispensing, and deliver high-quality service that builds trust and loyalty.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, communicating with technicians and doctors, and maintaining accurate records in the EHR/ALE systems.

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice as an optician.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales abilities.
• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional patient experience with tailored eyewear recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments based on lifestyle and prescription.
• Keeps up to date with products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Communicates order status and resolves issues with patients and team.
• Educates patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Interprets prescriptions and records data in EHR/ALE systems.
• Inspects final product for fit and quality and performs adjustments.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and frame displays.
