Job summary

AEG Vision in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide eyewear solutions and patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensuring proper fit, accuracy, and excellent service.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, entering data into the EHR, coordinating with technicians and doctors, and educating patients on insurance coverage and lens options. Prior licensure and optical dispensing experience are required.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments.
• Explain customized recommendations for products and services.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and maintain patient charts.
• Coordinate order status and follow up on pending orders.
• Provide eyewear adjustments and repairs for proper fit and comfort.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits, warranties, and replacement options.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice area.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to ensure smooth operations.
