Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks a Boiler Operator to oversee the Energy Center operations on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will monitor processes, manage daily logs, and ensure safety and efficiency across boilers, dryers, water treatment, and auxiliary equipment.

The role requires a Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher, basic MS Office skills, and the ability to work with a maintenance system.

Qualifications

• Must hold a State of Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Ability to work effectively with a computerized maintenance management system.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Preferred minimum degree from a two year college or a technical/vocational school, military background or 3 years work experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Energy Center on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
• Ensure process operations are safe, timely, and cost-effective.
• Communicate regularly with operators to maintain shift consistency.
• Follow plant policies and keep the plant clean and organized.
• Maintain and update operating procedures and training manuals for process operations.
• Work with plant DCS & PLC control systems and take daily equipment logs.
• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and housekeeping of plant equipment.
• Support QA with sampling, testing, and QA record maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance to schedule repairs and preventative activities.
• Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs and comply with regulations.
