Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC seeks a Boiler Operator to manage the Energy Center operations. You will work a 12-hour rotating shift to maximize production and quality, while following plant policies and ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher, has CMMS and MS Office skills, and demonstrates strong communication and time-management abilities. Preference given to candidates with a related two-year degree or military background.

Qualifications

• Must hold a State of Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Preferred minimum degree from a two year college or a technical/vocational school; military background or 3 years work experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Energy Center to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective production.
• Maintain clear communication across shifts to ensure consistent operations.
• Follow all plant policies and procedures; keep the plant clean and organized.
• Assist with updating operating procedures and training manuals for process operations.
• Monitor plant equipment and troubleshoot operation issues.
• Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of plant process areas and equipment.
• Support grain handling, shipping, and receiving areas as needed.
• Participate in QA and safety programs and maintain QA records.
