Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Boiler Operator to manage the Energy Center operations. You will monitor plant processes and equipment, ensuring production quality and efficiency on a 12-hour rotating shift.

The role involves adherence to company policies, safety standards, and coordination with cross-shift teams. The ideal candidate will hold a Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher, have basic MS Office skills, and familiarity with CMMS, DCS, and PLC systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to work with computerized maintenance management system
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Time management skills
• Preferred minimum degree from a two year college or technical/vocational school, military background or 3 years work experience

Responsibilities

• Operate Energy Center on a 12-hour rotating shift
• Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective plant operation
• Communicate regularly with operators to ensure cross-shift consistency
• Follow all plant policies and procedures
• Maintain and update operating procedures and training manuals for process operations
• Work with Boilers, Dryers, Water treatment and auxiliary equipment
• Take daily logs on all plant equipment
• Troubleshoot plant operation issues
• Assist with plant housekeeping and maintenance
• Support grain handling, shipping and receiving areas
• Participate in QA and plant maintenance programs
• Follow safety, health and environmental regulations
