Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist to conduct VA-mandated C&P evaluations for Veterans. This non-treatment, evaluation-focused role reviews records, takes history, and performs VA-compliant testing with documentation in VA formats.

The position offers flexibility, no ongoing patient care, and no insurance billing, with in-person opportunities and a per-evaluation compensation model.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Calibrated audiometer access for VA evaluations.
• Diagnostic tympanometer access for tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.
• Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Maryland CNC speech recognition testing familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Review relevant medical records and examination information.
• Obtain focused history through structured interviews.
• Perform audiometric testing and document results per VA formats.
• Prepare concise reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide objective, fact-based findings without bias.
• Submit documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow ethical, legal, professional, and confidentiality requirements.
