Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks a licensed audiologist for Compensation & Pension evaluations. This non-treatment, evaluation-focused role conducts VA-guided assessments, reviews records, and compiles concise reports for veterans. Flexible scheduling and potential in-person opportunities are offered.

The position emphasizes objective, fact-based evaluations with strict confidentiality and ethical standards, supporting veterans without ongoing patient care or billing.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Calibrated audiometer access for VA-required evaluations.
• Diagnostic tympanometer access for tympanometry and reflex testing.
• Master's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable with objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Capability to perform Maryland CNC speech testing.
• Access to specified diagnostic audiology equipment (SHOEBOX, Interacoustics Titan, AT235/AT235h, GSI TympStar Pro, Kuduwave).

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans per VA guidelines.
• Review records, obtain focused history, and perform audiometric testing.
• Prepare clear VA-compliant reports in required formats.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Submit documentation within required timeframes.
• Ensure objective, unbiased findings to support veteran claims.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality requirements.
