Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist to conduct VA C&P evaluations as a flexible, non-treating contractor. You will perform structured audiology testing, review records, obtain history, and prepare VA-formatted reports, without ongoing patient care.

This role offers $150–$185 per evaluation, with flexible scheduling and in-person opportunities. You can supplement your current practice while contributing to Veteran care, in a private-pay setting that avoids insurance

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Must have access to a calibrated audiometer capable of performing VA-required hearing evaluations.
• Must have access to a diagnostic tympanometer capable of performing tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.
• Master's Degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Maryland CNC speech recognition testing.
• Access to equipment such as SHOEBOX Audiometer, Interacoustics Titan, Interacoustics AT235 / AT235h, GSI TympStar Pro, Kuduwave, or Comparable diagnostic audiology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines.
• Review relevant medical records and examination information.
• Obtain relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Perform required audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required.
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide objective, fact-based findings without influencing the outcome of a Veteran's claim.
• Submit completed examination documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow all applicable ethical, legal, professional, and confidentiality requirements.
