Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks a licensed audiologist to conduct C&P evaluations for Veterans. This non-treatment role focuses on evaluation, testing, and documentation per VA requirements, with no ongoing patient care or insurance billing.

The contractor position offers flexible scheduling and in-person opportunities, using equipment such as calibrated audiometers and diagnostic devices to complete precise, report-ready assessments.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license is required.
• Must have access to a calibrated audiometer for VA-required evaluations.
• Must have access to a diagnostic tympanometer for tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.
• Master's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Maryland CNC speech recognition testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Review medical records and relevant examination information.
• Obtain history through focused interviews.
• Perform audiometric testing and document findings.
• Prepare clear VA-formatted reports.
• Submit documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
