Job summary

Liberty University’s LUCOM Library is seeking a part-time student worker to assist users with library materials, equipment, and services. You will help with cataloging, displays, and routine upkeep while supporting biofeedback/neurofeedback training equipment and on-site assistance.

The role requires current Liberty University enrollment and Federal Work-Study eligibility, with flexible shifts including weekends and evenings. Strong communication and tech skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Liberty University student, eligible for Federal Student Work (FWS), able to work up to 18 hours per week.
• Experience in customer service and detail-oriented preferred.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Excellent computer and organization skills.
• Comfortable with technology; including computers (Windows and Mac Operating Systems), Bluetooth devices, and troubleshooting problems related to these.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of the library’s automated system and reference services.
• Assist with cataloging and periodic updates according to standards.
• Support book orders, displays, and bulletin boards; weed outdated materials.
• Assist with equipment inventory for biofeedback and neurofeedback training and provide onsite support.
• Collect fines, replace lost materials, and handle renewals as needed.
• Help students and faculty with library lab computers and tasks; support library programs and events.
