Job summary

Liberty University’s Jerry Falwell Library is seeking a Library Systems and Technologies Student Assistant to support library staff and customers, providing reliable, courteous service while adhering to campus policies.

The role includes working with the ASRS and other library technologies, assisting with systems tasks, responding to inquiries, and reporting to the Library Systems Administrator. A current student in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Liberty University student.
• Federal Work Study approved preferred.
• Ability to develop apps and knowledge of computer languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be punctual and reliable for scheduled hours and follow dress code.
• Respond to emails, answer phones, and notify supervisor of schedule changes.
• Perform duties assigned by supervisor and library administration.
• Adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the University appropriately.
• Work as part of a team and support LU's mission.
• Perform duties of Library Systems and Technologies Student Assistant and report to Library Systems Administrator.
• Work closely with the ASRS and other library technologies.
• Provide basic computer troubleshooting.
• Assist with ASRS tasks: bin auditing, shifting, picking, and resizing items.
• Develop content for library technologies (digital signage, media wall, touchscreens).
