University of Missouri - Columbia is seeking a Library Information Specialist to provide frontline library services at the Journalism Library. You will assist users with questions, process materials, and support hold and reserve services, while collaborating with LTS for equipment issues and updates.
The role operates Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with responsibilities across circulation, interlibrary loan, and public service, ensuring desk coverage and positive patron experiences.
Health & Specialized Libs
Perform a wide variety of library functions, providing frontlinelibrary services to a diverse population of users. Processes localmaterials and materials from other UM (University of MissouriSystem) and MOBIUS libraries. Assists with other Circulation tasks, such as course reserves or hold shelf materials. Act as backup whennecessary to ensure the Service Desks remain open during normalhours.
The Journalism Library provides primary library support for thefaculty, staff and students in the School of Journalism.
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years ofexperience from which comparable knowledge and skills can beacquired is necessary
Salary Range: $16-$16.70 hourly
Grade: GGS-6
