Job summary

The University of Missouri Libraries seeks an Evening Library Information Specialist for the Journalism Library. The role provides primary library support for faculty, staff and students, with a schedule of Mon-Thu 1pm-10pm and Sunday 12pm-8pm, plus intersession hours.

You will supervise the circulation desk, assist patrons with print and online materials, manage multimedia equipment, train student workers on the FOLIO system and databases, and help create monthly book displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience or transferable knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Multimedia management for library equipment and IT infrastructure; troubleshoot issues with LTS.
• Assist patrons with digital and physical materials, and locate resources.
• Supervise circulation/desks during evenings and Sundays; manage holds and on-shelf items.
• Hire, train, and supervise student workers on library systems and services.
