Columbus Metropolitan Library is seeking a Customer Services Specialist at the Canal Winchester Branch. This part-time, non-exempt role involves serving as a primary customer contact, resolving inquiries, and guiding customers to resources and staff.

You will handle library technology assistance, account processing, and daily cash handling while supporting program preparation and community engagement at the branch.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to express self effectively in writing and orally.
• Knowledge of Internet and database services.
• Ability to operate library technology and office software.
• Reliable transportation to report to assignments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer basic reference questions.
• Assist with library card accounts and payments.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits.
• Resolve account disputes with customers.
• Open/close procedures and maintain location supplies.
• Maintain library materials and bulletin boards.
• Provide library technology training to customers and staff.
• Coordinate volunteers and assist staff with tasks.
