Job summary

Mid-Continent Public Library in Independence, MO is seeking a Full-Time Customer Service Supervisor to model outstanding service, coach staff, and oversee daily service-floor operations. This role supports branch management and delivers on-the-floor guidance for technology, reader services, and account transactions.

The position requires 2 years of customer service experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Customer Service experience Required

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers on the service floor and model exceptional service.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to staff on customer service standards and procedures.
• Assist with training programs for staff and ensure effective service delivery.
• Lead in managing unexpected events in the absence of management and coordinate with branch leadership.
• Perform building/opening/closing duties and support facility operations as needed.
• Support vendors, contracts, and general building operations when management is unavailable.
