Job summary

Mid-Continent Public Library is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate I in Gladstone, MO. You will be the first contact for customers, primarily at the desk and over the phone, delivering outstanding service and guiding patrons in using library resources.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prefers prior customer service experience. Flexible shifts and a team-oriented environment are provided by MCPL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/HiSet/GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to use polite, clear communication with public.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and phone customer service.
• Guide customers in using library resources and tech.
• Demonstrate digital services and tech usage.
• Recommend materials based on interests and availability.
• Assist with library card accounts and payments.
• Deliver curbside materials on request.
• Maintain and shelve library materials to keep shelves neat.
