Job summary

Mid-Continent Public Library in Kearney, MO, is hiring a Part-Time Customer Service Associate I. You will be the first point of contact, delivering exceptional service in person and by phone, guiding patrons on library resources and technologies, and helping with library card accounts and curbside services.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior customer service is preferred, and the schedule includes days, nights, weekends, with Saturdays 9:00am–6:00pm and Sundays 1:00pm–5:00pm

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic computer and phone systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service in person and over the phone.
• Guides customers in using library resources and services.
• Demonstrates use of technology and digital services to customers.
• Assists customers with library card accounts, including payments.
• Delivers materials to customers via curbside delivery if requested.
• Maintains and shelves library materials to keep a neat space.
