Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library is hiring a part-time Library Customer Adviser in St Bernard. You will provide direct customer service, circulate materials, assist with technology, and help patrons locate information.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills for handling library patrons and inquiries.
• Ability to arrange materials alphabetically and numerically.
• Ability to work independently and with coworkers with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with library technology and software.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push carts up to 150 pounds.
• Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Circulates materials, processes holds, registers patrons, and collects fees.
• Assists customers with technologies and provides reference services.
• Shelves returned materials and searches for requested items.
• Performs readers’ advisory and reference services.
• Participates in desk setup, bookdrop, deliveries, ILS reports and supply orders.
• Assists with programs, displays, and meeting room approvals.
• Interprets policies to the public and provides customer-friendly service.
