Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District in Colorado is hiring for a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager. This leadership role reports to the Branch Manager and acts as second in charge to manage daily library operations and service desks.

You will develop youth and adult programs, build partnerships, supervise staff, and ensure excellent customer service. The district serves Pueblo City and Pueblo County with a strong commitment to community learning and access to resources.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• One year of library experience preferred.
• Strong planning and program presentation skills for children and adults.
• Excellent customer service and communication across diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage branch operations and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Promotes facilitated customer service and assists patrons.
• Presents story times and outreach programs to schools.
• Builds community partnerships and coordinates programs.
• Assists Branch Manager with daily operations, staffing, and scheduling.
• Acts as Person-In-Charge in manager's absence.
• Explains library regulations and resolves patron issues.
