Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District in Pueblo, CO is hiring a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, customer service, staffing coverage, and program delivery. This role reports to the Branch Manager and acts as PIC when needed.

Candidates should have a Master’s in Library Science and at least one year of library experience; strong communication, leadership, and program planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science required; one year of library experience preferred.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to build partnerships and deliver youth and adult programs.
• Knowledge of library tools and databases to support research.

Responsibilities

• Promotes customer service by assisting patrons and guiding resources.
• Present story times and outreach programs for children.
• Partner with organizations to meet community needs.
• Serve as PIC and manage scheduling and safety.
• Explain library regulations and resolve patron issues.
• Prepare reports and attend leadership meetings.
• Maintain safety and security at the branch.
