Job summary

Keel is seeking a Liaison Engineer to bridge design engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers on the shop floor. You will ensure manufacturability, quality, and throughput while supporting production from start to finish.

Responsibilities include resolving non-conformances, driving DFMA improvements, interpreting drawings, coordinating with vendors, and supporting automation initiatives across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and quick response to technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Experience with MRB or ECR processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical bridge between design engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Translate engineering intent into manufacturable shop-floor solutions.
• Provide real-time troubleshooting to prevent line stoppages.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability improvements and manage non-conformances.
• Interpret complex drawings and specs for shop personnel.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for material and component conformity.
• Support automation and robotics initiatives across the shop floor.
